Finding Golf Lessons in Vancouver
Learning golf in Vancouver can be easy or difficult depending on the quality of instruction you receive and the amount of time you are willing to invest. As long as you find your instructor through a respectable golf club, you can be confident that he or she will provide a high level of instruction that is worth your money. Nonetheless, it is always advisable to meet your instructor before committing to lessons. That way you can be sure that your personalities mesh and know that your time together will be enjoyable. You can also ask your instructor about golf clubs. It is possible that you can rent clubs for the lesson, or else buy a used set. Beginning golfers should never buy new clubs!
Most golf clubs offer a variety of lesson formats. For example, Vancouver's Musqueam Golf Course and Learning Academy (considered one of Canada's best training facilities) offers a range of services from private lessons to adult classes. Other clubs, such as University Golf Club in Vancouver, offer both full swing and short game programs.
Private lessons can be booked in hour or half hour sessions, depending on your schedule. Although private lessons are more expensive, for many people they are the best option. When you have a private lesson, the instructor is completely focused on you. The instructor will probably give you assignments and expect you to practice before your next lesson. In a group class, you could get away with not practicing. But in a private lesson, the instructor will definitely know about it! In this way, private lessons provide greater motivation for practicing outside the lesson.
Adult classes are also a great way to learn golf in Vancouver. Plus, they are more affordable than private lessons. Just make sure that the class size is not too large, and you are sure that all students will get enough one-on-one time with the instructor. Most clubs will limit classes to four to six students per one hour session. The benefit of classes is that you might find a partner or group on to play with on the golf course later. The drawback is that you will likely receive a lot of information over the course of just a few weeks. It can be hard to absorb all this information properly, and, unlike in private lessons, there will not be a chance for follow-up sessions later.
Some clubs will offer drop in sessions or monthly or weekly swing clinics. These are not ideal for beginners, since they do not offer the same kind of focused instruction as lessons or classes. Swing clinics can be beneficial later on, once you have a solid foundation and perhaps just need some pointers on increasing power or preventing slice.
An important consideration when choosing a golf lesson plan is whether or not you will be able to practice outside the lessons. Find out if the club sponsoring the lessons offers discounts at their driving range, a discounted membership, or some other incentive.
If you can't get to the driving range, another option is to purchase some plastic wiffle ball type golf balls. You can hit these light balls in your yard, thereby practicing your swing without worrying about sending golf balls through your neighbor's window.
Remember, at this stage you are not trying to become a golf superstar overnight. Learning golf takes time and practice. When you first start out, you won't hit anything but a drive for a long time, and it will be even longer before you actually set foot on a golf course. The fundamentals you should be learning in your lessons include grip, stance, and posture. Once you have all these elements in place, you will be able to swing smoothly, hit consistently, and finally start moving on to the fairway aspects of golf.

Belly Dancing Classes in Vancouver
Belly dance is a very popular style of exotic dance. Interestingly the term “belly dance” was actually a term coined by the Western world describing what actually just traditional Middle Eastern dance is. Not without a hint of irony considering the focal point of “Belly Dancing” is not actually the belly but is rather the hips. This style of dance employs a wide range of muscles most prominently the abdomen, lower back, legs and thighs, it is a very laid back style of dance, not particularly fast paced or overly technical, nor is it competitive in nature unlike many other dance styles, this makes it an excellent choice for women of all ages and fitness levels. more
